Who we are

Cozy by Design is a one-person digital studio run by Myron Jones and based in New Jersey, United States. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means Cozy by Design. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact page.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we receive what you type into it: your name, email address, company (if you add one), your message, and a budget range if you choose one. You can leave optional fields blank.

Technical information. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical details when a page is requested — the IP address making the request, the browser and device type, the page requested, and the time. This is standard server logging used to keep the site running and secure.

What we don't collect. This site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not buy data about you from anyone. If we add an analytics tool in the future, we will update this page before it goes live and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

How we use it

• To reply to your message and, if it makes sense for both of us, to talk about working together.
• To keep the site online, secure, and working properly.
• To meet legal obligations, if any arise.

That's the full list. We don't use your information for marketing emails unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent it.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this site. They process information only on our behalf and only to provide their service:

• Vercel — hosts the website and handles the technical logging described above.
• Resend — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox as email.

Beyond those providers, we share information only if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Cozy by Design or others. We don't share it with advertisers.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies or use similar tracking technologies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept for as long as we're in conversation with you, and for up to two years after our last exchange so we have context if you come back. If we end up working together, information about the project is kept under the terms of that engagement. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period according to their own retention settings.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct it if it's wrong.
• Delete it.
• Stop using it for a particular purpose.

Send the request through the contact page and we'll respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first so we don't hand someone else's information to the wrong person. If you live in a place with specific privacy laws — the EU, the UK, California, or elsewhere — you have the rights those laws give you, and we'll honor them.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and the providers we use maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security — but we keep the amount of information we hold small, which is the most effective protection there is.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here so you can see what's different.
